Murphy is a hard town to find 70s era info on. I'm modeling the Murphy Branch in 1978 and getting all the info is challenging to say the least. 

High detail aerial imagery of the railroad that shows you everything you need is basically nonexistent as far as I can find. You can piece a fair bit together from looking at Historic Aerials, Google Earth historical view, and using aerials from the NCDOT here: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=91e02b76dce4470ebd7ec240ad202a04
