Re: Peachtree Station Drawings
I always enjoyed boarding 20 and stepping down from 19 at this "suburban" station. I expect that the SRHA files may not have one interesting aspect of it, though, since NS was diligent to trashing

Ike,
Specifically what are you trying to accomplish with the Brookwood station drawings? A re constructed set of original drawings? Organized arrangement of existing drawings or composite of Floor

Have you seen any drawings of the Asheville Station? If so I would love to have a copy of it for my project.

Re: What in blazes?
Thanks Bill and Bob. I just couldn't see that short car being used in a full-length passenger train with E units and 85' cars. A derailment waiting to happen.

That is what it was, Bill, a heater car for cold weather passenger service behind A&EC F2A 400 & 401. E&EC 400 & 401 were 1350 hp model F2, not phase 1 F3's. They were not equipped with steam

Homemade heater car. Ran behind Atlantic & East Carolina’s F3 on passenger trains in the winter time, so I’ve been told.

Thanks. I bet those sales are why a lot of the photos of depots (from non-valuation sources) were dated in those time frames. Those photos may have been documentation of the status/condition before

Ike and others,
My view is fairly simple. There is no free lunch. The SRHA and/or the archives might be non-profit educational entities, but non-profit does not mean there is no budget or income
