In 40 years with Amtrak I was at the beautiful Southern Railway headquarters many times. It doesn’t surprise me that they would have drawings of nearby parks. They were just very detail-oriented

Just remember, the lease began in 1885 or 1886 when the Richmond & Danville first leased it. When the Danville came out of receivership in June 1894, it then PURCHASED the line outright and owned it

Not a particularly “pretty” drawing. As the SR did with repaints, it is a “generic” drawing rather than one for different car series but the dimensions are readable. Always measuring up
