The amount of material we have been finding as SRHA archives files are being reviewed and scanned is truly remarkable. The correspondence and notes behind a wide range of subjects provide unsurpassed “depth” and background on many subjects.
Today’s “finds” include the attached EMD photos of three pilot mock ups sent to L.S. Crane with Specifications (all dated 6-1-1970) for EMD SD-45, GP-38 and SW-1500 locomotives.
With more archives work session volunteers, we can continue this work and produce more articles for SRHA “TIES” and additional rolling stock books.
Archives work sessions will return to the third Friday and Saturday of every month schedule with the January 20 and 21 session. Labor and donations of archive material (or cash for equipment purchases) is always welcome.
