For an upcoming article in TIES, I am looking for an image, taken from the Church Street overpass in Spartanburg, of the four trains meeting in Spartanburg’s station between 1950 and 1966. This apparently was a daily event, where the northbound and southbound Piedmont Limiteds paused and exchanged passengers, express, mail, and maybe cars, with the east and westbound Carolina Specials. I would appreciate obtaining an image that is suitable for publication. We will give credit to the source.
I know such images exist because I have seen them (somewhere) in the past. Thanks.
