locked Question re: Southern operating practices

Hello all,
In Southern Ry. practice, would a train register book have been needed or required at a junction if movement on the track the train was entering was governed by Yard Limit rules? Thank you for your insights. -- Paul Schmidt Sequim WA

Not for movements within yard limits, but movements still had to clear first class trains times with in YL. Register would be needed to leave for info on opposing superior trains.
